About
Cameron Brooks' music often begins on the piano he inherited from his nan - a beautifully warm instrument that has shaped much of his sound. He specialises in combining melodic motifs, textural atmospheres and string arrangements to help bring stories to life.
A collaboration track of his was released on Opia - the community label founded by Ólafur Arnalds. Cameron was a runner-up out of 70 entries in Crow Hill's latest composer competition too.
His love of storytelling turned into a brief career as a journalist writing music related articles for publications such as Euronews, MusicTech Magazine and Business Insider.
A multi-instrumentalist, he incorporates clarinet, saxophone and other instruments into his work. He studied Music Technology at Falmouth University and has released two albums featured on KEXP Radio.
